Medical Fitness Tour was created by the MedFit Education Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded to elevate the quality and amount of available education for fitness & allied healthcare professionals to learn how to best work with our aging population and those with medical conditions/chronic disease or physical/intellectual challenges.
We believe education is crucial and that fitness and allied healthcare professionals working with the aging population must have a higher level of knowledge, skill, and expertise. We also believe that this type of knowledge has the highest growth potential.
The Tour’s goal is to travel across the country hosting weekend conferences with single-track 60-90 minute presentations. There will also be 1-2 full or half-day pre-conference workshops/training sessions. CEC’s will be granted for fitness professionals for these conferences.
Topics include, but are not limited to: Active Aging, Alzheimer’s, Arthritis, Autism, Cancer, Diabetes, working with those with Disabilities, Fall Prevention, Fibromyalgia, Heart Disease, Joint Replacement, Mental Health Challenges, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Osteoporosis, Respiratory Disease, Stroke and women’s health issues including pre & postpartum care.
Conferences will also include 90-minute networking lunch breaks and group discussions, and a Saturday evening mixer immediately following the last session of the day.
Approved speakers for the events have an opportunity to promote themselves in a session, introduce their courses, workshops, services or products, and have a vendor table. They will also be given the opportunity to be interviewed by MedFit TV to promote themselves and their session.
We are excited to bring the top educators in the fitness and allied healthcare industry together to present on important, relevant, evidence-based topics. We encourage each speaker to include a call to action for professionals to take more courses and workshops to further expand their knowledge. The Tour sessions will also be filmed and made available on MedFit TV for those who cannot attend live.
The Foundation’s vision is to make this type of education available in every state and continue to build the MedFit Network (MFN) registry of qualified professionals in the area of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of chronic disease/medical conditions.
